Great tour with great service that well worth the money Fantastic tour with a great tour guide.

While the two hour tour is a little pricey ($700+ for three people on two snowmobiles), it was well worth it. We had great service throughout the morning. We were picked up from our hotel, brought up to the site, set up with all of the equipment, and then had a great tour. The scenary was amazing. The tour guide kept a good pace (and made sure everyone was keeping that pace) which gave us plenty of time to go around. Add in a nice mid-tour stop for hot chocolate and fresh cookies and lemon bars (which my daughter had to go back for thirds on), and it was a great day.

Amazingly fun! Unique and memorable experience, amazing scenery only accessible through this tour. Service and staff were great and the expense is worth it, especially when experiencing with friends.

Amazing experience ! This was one of the coolest and best adventures we have ever had. Gregg our tour guide was awesome. He stopped periodically to make sure the whole group was still together and no one was dropped. He was exceptionally knowledgeable about the area and when we stopped would give us a little history lesson or educate us about the area. The tour itself was amazing. The machines were brand new and easy to use. We stopped at a cool "tent" halfway to take a break, get something to drink and a snack as well. He gave us a chance to zoom around an open "track" . The views were stunning and the journey was exhilarating. Highly recommend!

Great views We had an amazing day snowmobiling just 5 minutes away from our accommodation in Vail Village, unlike other companies we tried before where you need to drive for about an hour each way.

The trails were fantastic, small group, snowmobiles in excellent condition with a couple stops for pictures.

We even had a change to drive fast in a special oval track near a hut where the provide hot chocolate and cookies, they are have a portable toilet if you need to use.

Back Country Snowmobiling in the Gore Range We went on the 3 hour snowmobile VBT yesterday with friends and it was outstanding! Greg, our guide, did a great job and kept us all organized. I really enjoyed that the tour start was only 5 minutes from Vail/Lionshead with easy access, parking and shuttle. The machines were top, new equipment. Couldn’t recommend more highly!

Great Family Adventure This is the second time that we have used Vail Backcountry Tours for snowmobiling. It was even better this second time (and I wouldn’t have thought that was possible). Our guide (Greg) was phenomenal. You can tell they are very focused on a great balance of an exhilarating adventure, beautiful scenery and safety. Amazing guided snowmobile ride! I have been on several guided snowmobile tours with these guys, but today was the best! Best ride ever with Backcountry snowmobiles today! Nathan was our guide, he was great! Went different places than we have gone before! It was great! There was fresh powder that we got to make new trails in! And we did a couple single trails through the woods, loved it all! I’ve done 8-10 rides with these guys and they do a great job of changing it up!

Thrilling! Went with a group of 5 - had a blast! They picked us up from our airbnb which is really nice (wouldn't have personally wanted to drive up the mountain). They provide snow boots, helmets, etc. They also offer single riders & double riders. We went anywhere between 20-40 mph. Incredible views (despite it being a bit cloudy/foggy due to active snow fall) but still incredible & great fresh powder. We stopped at a yurt part of the way to warm up, eat a few snacks (bring some cash to tip the yurt person if you'd like), restroom @ yurt, too. I was nervous about driving the snowmobile at first but got the hang of it! The tour guide is great! Highly recommend.

Views!!! And Excellent Customer Service!!! I took a tour with my 6 yr old son and by far this was the highlight of our trip. From ensuring we were properly dressed to making sure we understood how to operate the snowmobiles, everything was phenomenal. We had a girl who was scared to ride when we were about to leave and he took his time out to show her how to ride and even her being uncomfortable after, he let her ride with him the whole tour! Amazing snowmobile experience What an amazing experience! Vail Backcountry Tours picked us up from our hotel promptly at the agreed upon time in a clean and spacious van. Beau our tour guide drove us to the office where we were given everything we needed to safely and warmly snowmobile. The office was very clean and all the employees were so kind and accommodating . When it was time to start the tour I wanted to quit. They encourage me and finally offered to ride as a passenger with Beau. Best decision !! Amazing Snowmobile Experience We had an amazing day snowmobiling in the absolutely beautiful scenic mountains of vail. Beau, our guide was incredibly reassuring, helpful, and gave us the most wonderful experience. Before heading out in the snow, he made sure we were all properly dressed and gave us some of the gear the company has to make sure we stayed warm. Following this, before we leave took off, Beau made sure we were all comfortable with the snow mobile, in terms of operating them, and then give us plenty of opportunities to push the pedal to the metal and enjoy our speed.

My 16-year-old daughter loved driving and I enjoyed being the passenger behind her. The highlight of our to our excursion was stopping in their hut to have hot chocolate and enjoy some yummy home baked goods, while we warmed up by the cozy wood-burning stove . I don’t ski so this was the perfect outdoor activity for our family. Highly highly recommend it. Highlight of my trip.

Best Snowmobile tour This tour was the best snow mobile tour I’ve ever been on. Conveniently located just outside of vail village. A must if you visit Vail! The stop at the yurt for warm drinks was cool. The scenery is unmatched. Driving through the trees in the woods was my favorite part. Nathan was a great tour guide! 100% recommend!

Great experience. Excellent all around. Our family of five really enjoyed our two hour tour with Nathan. The machines are top notch compared to what we have ridden in other mountain towns. The terrain and trails heading up to Pinney Lake are perfect for snow mobiles. This isn’t the typical slow under 20 mph tour. They have great straightaways and a private track on the mountain where you can get up some nice speed approaching 40 mph. We had three drivers for our group of five and it was great. Our 17 year had no issue with her own machine. Our 10 year old and 14 year olds rode behind us and these machines have a comfortable back seat with heated handles! We all wore our ski clothes and our heated gloves. The girls added an extra layer they don’t usually wear when skiing. It was probably 28 degrees and nobody was cold.

Beaver Creek ski trip We took a day off from skiing to enjoy some sites and back country snowmobiling fun. It was a beautiful day 40 and sunny. Tour guide picked us up on time and with the friendliest smile We were well informed on all issues of what to expect and what to do . Our ride was outstanding from simple trails to through the trees and snow and taking our snowmobile around a speed track . The snowmobiles were easy to handle and trails were so fun. I recommend Nathan Guild for your tour guide if you want the best and most enjoyable and fun adventure.

Absolutely Incredible Snowmobile Experience Blown away by this Snowmobile experience!! The quality of the machines, people, trails, and views are unmatched in the area. Must do in vail! Take a break from skiing to do this tour. This was our first time snow mobiling and it did not disappoint. Top 5 tour we have ever done. John was a great tour guide and made sure we were all safe. Stopping halfway for hot drinks was great. Honestly can’t recommend this enough.

Best/Closest Snow Mobile Tour for Vail Excellent tour through beautiful trails in the mountains surrounding Vail. Groomed trails so no getting stuck in deep drifts. Our guide Shay was very fun and a great photographer as well. I love that this is a 5 min drive from Lionshead versus the other tours that have a 30 min van ride. The stop half way to drink hot chocolate in their heated yurt was a nice touch. Highly recommend!

Great snowmobile company Our guide was Troy & he was the best! The trail was nice, nice view up top for pics & a cool Yurt where we had snacks & drinks. Snowmobiling experience This was mine and my boyfriends first time in Vail but also on snowmobiles. I have to say this was easily my favorite activity on the entire trip from start to finish. They make things incredibly easy by picking you up at the hotel and taking you to the trail where the snow mobiles await your ride. Each trip is different with the trails you’ll take but the scenery is breath taking; felt like I was in a winter wonderland. Nathan made our entire trip! He allowed us time to ride on a circular track and showed us the most scenic backgrounds for photos. We also got lucky enough to come across 2 moose during our travels. INCREDIBLE - 10/10!! My first time snowmobiling, I have to admit I was a little anxious. The team, and in particular our guide Nathan Guild, did an AMAZING job teaching us how to drive and making sure I felt comfortable the entire time. It ended up being my favorite part of the entire trip: it was SO fun to drive, and the views were unbelievable (better than at the top of the ski mountain). I shared a machine with a friend, switching off driving, and did the 3 hour tour and thought it was the perfect combo/length for me. Nathan was truly the best guide ever - making sure I felt comfortable without slowing down the thrill-seekers of the group. If you have any anxiety about snowmobiling, he is your guy!! 10/10, cannot recommend more highly!!!

An Experience of a Lifetime! As a first time visitor to Vail, I had no idea what snowmobiling would entail. However, Paul our guide gave us EXCEPTIONAL service and made the pick up, waiver signing, equipment getting, tour and drop off MARVELOUS. He is super personable and passionate about what he does. He truly made our day. The company in general has employed the most enthusiastic and polite people in the world. The services, amenities, hot chocolate, brownies, Apple cider and cookies in a warm heated tent half way through was an added plus. The trail and the grounds were VERY well kept and a sight to see. Awesome company! This was our group's first time snowmobiling, and we had a great time! Nathan was the perfect guide. He was very in tune with the entire group regardless of their riding style. Half our group wanted to do something more technical or go fast, while the rest of us wanted to chill a bit more. The best Vail snowmobiling experience I cannot express how magical this experience was from start to finish. Nathan Guild picked us up directly from our hotel in Vail and was an absolute gentleman. Once we picked the rest of group up from a meeting site, we drove in a limo style shuttle van. Top shelf from start to finish. The staff was all attentive once we arrived to the main snowmobile headquarters and was so genuine in wishing my wife and I happy 55th birthday!! I've ridden in several snowmobiles during my lifetime, however, these were by far top of the notch! Heated handlebars for the passengers seat complete with backrest, and heated driver grips along with touch adjusting buttons. After a well detailed safety and instructions meeting with Nathan, we began our journey into the winter wonderland of the Vail mountains. We were a group of 12 with Nathan and a guild in training bringing up the rear. I felt so safe as did my wife on the same vehicle. Safety was priority number 1 with this company. You could tell, this is not for the yahoos and drunks. If you wipe out, it could ruin everyone's trip waiting to pull your snowmobile out of the ravines. After a joyful ride, we made our way to the mountain top hut. A wonderful "Happy birthday " dessert and candles made our day!!! My wife wants to do it again and next time with friends and family.

Fantastic snow mobile tour Great family activity for non-skiers! Tons of fun with a variety of trails and a solid 2 hours of riding. Nathan was an awesome guide who knows how to keep everyone safe and comes across as an expert. Nathan picked us up promptly at the Westin Beavercreek and dropped us off after the tour, cost included in the tour so no extra fees here. They also offer flexibility on the dropoff in case you want to go somewhere else after the tour! Boots and jackets included in the tour, goggles rent for $10 but all equipment is in great shape and the team helps to ensure everyone has the right stuff before takeoff. Snowmobiling AWESOMENESS in VAIL My family was in Vail visiting for a ski trip and we decided to take one day off the skis and hit the backcountry trails on snowmobiles with Vail Backcountry Tours. They are AMAZING!!! We chose them because they made everything super easy from start to finish. They picked us up, got us situated on some brand new machines, provided an AWESOME tour of the slopes and trails across from Vail Mountain and delivered us back home with everyone smiling. Greg was our guide and he is very safe and accommodating to all ability levels, knowledgable of the area you are riding in, a professional group photographer, and one of those guys that if you saw in town after your tour you would feel lucky to buy him a beer to say thanks for a GREAT day! BEST TRIP EVER!! OH MY GOSH THIS TRIP WAS AMAZING! We've been on a snowmobile trip with this company before but our guide this time was just UNBELIEVABLE!! MARK BOUTIN!! Safe and exciting Greg, our guide, was super chill and definitely enjoyed letting us open it up and have fun. He is super safe but also let’s you have some fun. Very knowledgeable about the area and history. We have done many trips in Breck and Park City but this one is hands down our favorite!

Family tour with Mark Boutin We've been on this tour before. It's always a great time and very beautiful. Today was our best one yet. Mark Boutin was our guide and he was awesome. He took the time to talk about different animal tracks we saw and types of wildlife in the mountains. He also showed us different landmarks and told stories about them. He clearly loves what he does and we had fun with him. The snowmobiles are brand new and very comfortable too. This company is by far the best out there.
